Plastic surgery for love handles

As the “Dating Game” turns into the “Aging Game”, many women opt for plastic surgery to fix problem areas of the body where fat deposits linger and no amount of exercise or vegan, non-dairy, high-protein diet can destroy them. More and more men are following in women’s shoes to find themselves on the surgeon’s operating table, looking to recapture the body of their lost youth.

The most popular cosmetic surgery for men is tumescent liposuction for the love handles, followed by gynecomastia (the surgical removal of fat deposits in male breasts). Women, no strangers to plastic surgery or going to great lengths to preserve their beauty, commonly go under the doctor’s knife for far smaller problems and have been trimming and tucking their tummies for decades, the old-fashioned way, with liposuction.

Liposuction and ‘body sculpting’ are booming business and have become a standard part of aging, culture and class as evident by the popular TV show “Nip/Tuck” and many men and women set out to buy the body of their dreams. Body sculpting contours the body into a “more desirable shape” by conventional standards and many men and women invest big bucks to reshape their bodies and eliminate the fat from their abdomen, thighs, buttocks, hips, ankles, knees, love handles, arms and facial jowls.

Many people opt for cosmetic surgery or liposuction when they have worked very hard on their bodies and stubborn, unwanted fat remains in troublesome areas. Love handles, the unsightly fat that hangs above men’s hips and forms a spare tire, and on women, can roll over the jeans, may be hereditary. This means that no amount of exercise or strict dieting will ever completely eliminate the genetic trait. Since this is the case for many, and love handles are notoriously difficult to exercise off even when not DNA coded, fitness freaks and gym heads are making a special trip to the local plastic surgeon to get their love handles sucked out.

These days, it seems like everybody’s trying to get a handle on his or her love handles and is willing to go under the vacuum for ideal, cosmetic beauty.
